Last month I had the privilege of attending the C3 Conference at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX. There was a fantastic lineup of speakers and the times of music and worship were great as always. However, the best session for me was the Friday afternoon breakout where I had the opportunity to listen to and interact with Fellowship Creative, the worship leadership area of Fellowship Church. Below are some of the notes I took during that session:
- Creatives see boundaries as parameters, not limitations.
- Creativity begins with preparation.
- Creativity is best produced with order and discipline, not chaos.
- Creatives were created to exclaim God's greatness!
"4 D's" to the creative process
1. Dream
2. Define
3. Design
4. Develop
Keys For The Stage
1. Diversity - using people from various generations, backgrounds, and cultures
2. Energy
3. Flow - no stops, especially in a music set / keep everything moving forward without distractions
4. Next Generation - utilize students in all facets of the worship ministry / help grow their talent, ability, and leadership potential
- Always be in the process of growing your team and the leaders within. To achieve the greatest success in ministry you must have a qualified team surrounding you.
