The World Series is here! Game 1 is in progress as the best team from the American League takes on the best team from the National League in chilly St. Louis, MO. I have been asked numerous times which team am I cheering for. Am I cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals from my home state of Missouri who I grew up watching as a youngster? Or am I cheering for the Texas Rangers who I once worked for and where I attended many home games from 2002 - 2010?
The answer is simple really. I am cheering for both. After spending several hours contemplating the matchup I realized I could not choose one team over another. I would compare it to an impossible decision like someone asking a parent to pick their favorite child.
Right now I'm sitting next to a Ranger fan (my wife Erin) in the warm confines of our house in Wisconsin cheering on the Rangers and Cardinals! My hope is that each team plays their best baseball and that this series will be a classic. If we are lucky it will go to a Game 7 and legends will be born based upon their stellar play.
