How cool was I in the 1990's? Check out a few of these drumline videos to see for yourself. Actually, none of us in the drumline were as cool as we probably thought we were, but we worked hard to achieve the accolades we received and put thousands of practice hours in to become winners. The lessons we learned about commitment, discipline, and teamwork served us well in the years to come.
In the 1st segment (freshman year) I can be found playing xylophone in the pit. In segment 2 - 2:00 mark (sophomore year) I can be found playing tenors.
In the video below I played tenors in the drumline that won Best Percussion in a prestigious 1994 Midwest Marching Band competition. Our drum break begins at the 5:55 mark.
